All the Information You Need to Know

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED A HEARING TEST?

We suggest everyone get a hearing test, regardless of perceived loss to have establish a baseline.  Often times we do not realize we are having a hard time hearing until someone else notices.  Some very common signs of hearing loss are tinnitus (ringing in the ears), asking people to repeat themselves often, struggling to hear in noisy environments (background noise), turning the TV up louder than loved ones prefer, always taking phone calls on speaker phone, other people hearing things you did not (this often occurs in high frequency losses with buzzers, dings, alarms, birds, and other high pitch noises).  There are many subtle signs of hearing loss and many health risks associated with it. It is important to notice and seek testing and treatment as soon as possible.

HOW LONG DOES A HEARING TEST TAKE?

With intake, examination, evaluation and then later going over the results together the test can take anywhere from 20-45 minutes.

DOES INSURANCE COVER HEARING AIDS?

This all depends on your insurance carrier and policy.  While some do cover hearing aids, some do not.  It is important to check your policy for hearing related benefits.  We can also reach out to your insurance carrier after the evaluation to see what benefits you may qualify for.    We also offer financing.
